Tre anni dopo il più recente album d’inediti “Always Ascending” i Franz Ferdinand tornano a farsi sentire con una nuova canzone. Si intitola “Billy Goodbye”, e anticipa la pubblicazione di “Hits to the Head”, greatest hits che sarà rilasciato dall’11 marzo 2022 per Domino Records.
La canzone parla delle amicizie che ci hanno reso le persone che siamo. Non tutte durano per sempre, alcune finiscono male, altre finiscono e basta. Credo la canzone giri attorno il fatto di guardare alle amicizie quando si stanno concludendo e potersi dire “Hey, è finita, ma non è stato dannatamente bello? Non dimenticare i momenti migliori, sono stati incredibili”.
